Arthur J. (Sr.) Lynch

        Arthur J. Lynch Sr., 80, of Hazlet, New Jersey passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at his home.  Arthur was born on March 28, 1936 in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he grew up. On March 2, 1957, Arthur and his wife, Helen, were married and began their lives together. In 1960, they moved to Hazlet, New Jersey to raise their family. Before retiring, Arthur worked as a teacher for the Hazlet Board of Education for 33 years. He was also a proud United States Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict.        

        He was predeceased by his parents, John and Josephine (Brzozowski) Lynch, his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Claire Lynch, and his son, Michael Lynch.  Arthur is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 60 years, Helen M. (Coughlan) Lynch; his loving sons, Patrick A. Lynch and his wife, Wendy, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Arthur J. Lynch Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Daniel J. Lynch and his wife, Mary, of Hazlet, New Jersey; his dear sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Robert Coughlan; his cherished grandchildren, Shaun, Dylan, Ryan, Kyle, Abigail, and Emily, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. 

        Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and Friday morning, May 27, 2016 from 8:00 to 8:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday morning, May 27, 2016 at 9:15 AM, at The Catholic Church of Saint Ann, 311 Carr Avenue, Keansburg, New Jersey 07734. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 100 Chapel Hill Road, Red Bank, New Jersey 07701.
