Richard James Tobin

        Richard James Tobin, 61, of Hazlet, New Jersey passed away on Friday, June 3, 2016 at his home. Richard was born on February 22, 1955 in Brooklyn, New York. He was raised in Old Bridge, New Jersey, and in 2012 he settled in Hazlet, New Jersey.  Richard was a self-employed construction worker, and owner of, J & R Construction in Jackson, New Jersey.  He was predeceased by his parents, Richard Paul and Isabella (Sweeney) Tobin. Richard is survived by his loving daughter, Jacqulyn M. Potter and her husband, Michael, of Andover, New Jersey; his dear siblings, Barbara Osborne and her husband, Kenneth, of Hazlet, New Jersey, Joan McCloud of Freehold, New Jersey, Maureen Colon and her husband, Kurt, of Rockaway, New Jersey, Theresa Macy and her husband, Larry, of Morrisville, Pennsylvania, Margaret Lace and her husband, Dale, of Jackson, New Jersey, James Tobin and his wife, Janice, of Jackson, New Jersey, and Irene Markunas and her husband, Dave, of Millstone, New Jersey; along with his cherished grandson, Jack R. Martin. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

        Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM,and Monday morning, June 6, 2016 from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday morning, June 6, 2016 at 10:00 AM, at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735. In respect of Richard's wishes, he will be privately cremated. In lieu of flowers, contributions in loving memory of Richard to Habitat for Humanity, would be greatly appreciated.
