Mary Hurley
November 29, 1915 ~ August 26, 2016 (age 100) 100 Years OldMary Hurley, 100, of Wall, New Jersey, formerly of Old Bridge, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday morning, August 26, 2016 at Care One in Wall. Mary was born on November 29, 1915 in Baltimore, Maryland, where she grew up, and as a young adult, relocated to Catonsville, Maryland. During her childhood years, Mary and her family spent their summers living in Oakland, Maryland. In 1936, Mary and her husband, Malcolm, were married and began their life together in California, where they lived for the first year of their marriage, before settling in New Jersey to raise their family. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Anna, her beloved husband, Malcolm E. Hurley, and her five dear siblings. Mary is survived by her loving daughter, Eileen Taylor and her husband, Alan, of Lakewood, New Jersey and Marathon, Florida, her adoring grandchildren, Alan Taylor Jr. and his wife, Marie, of Aberdeen, New Jersey, Bonnie Derkack and her husband, Michael, of Old Bridge, New Jersey, Brian Taylor and his wife, Kelly, of Pennsylvania, and Tammy Stevens and her husband, Craig, of Freehold, New Jersey. She is also survived by her cherished great grandchildren, Jackie Taylor, Monica Weber, Nicole Taylor, Brian Taylor, Jessica Derkack, Nicholas Stevens, Brittany Derkack, and Victoria Stevens. Mary will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM and Monday morning, August 29, 2016 from 8:15 to 9:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Route/Highway 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday morning, August 29, 2016 at 9:30 AM at Most Holy Redeemer Church, 133 Amboy Road, Matawan, New Jersey 07747.
