Kenneth Michael Halpin, DC MD

     Kenneth Michael Halpin, DC MD, 61, of Matawan, New Jersey, passed away suddenly at home on January 13, 2017.  He was born on January 26, 1955 in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he grew up.  In 1999, Kenneth and his family settled in Matawan, New Jersey.  Kenneth was a Chiropractor/Medical Doctor and proprietor of Westfield Laser Skin Care in Westfield, New Jersey. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Kathleen Flaherty Halpin, and his father, Michael Halpin. Kenneth is survived by his loving children, Eoin Michael Halpin and Kaitlin Theresa Halpin, his beloved mother, Theresa Tuohy Halpin, and his dear sister, Annmarie Smurla and her husband, Michael, of Cedar Grove, New Jersey.  He is also survived by his dear sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ellen Brummer and her husband, George, Teresa Dolan and her husband, Richard, his cherished nieces and nephew, Bridget Brummer, Megan Dolan, Molly Dolan, Patrick Smurla, and Tara Smurla,  along with many adored extended family members and many friends. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

     Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Wednesday morning, January 18, 2017 from 8:30 to 9:15 AM, at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday morning, January 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, 109 Laurence Parkway, Laurence Harbor, New Jersey.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 360 Broadway, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.  In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Kenneth Michael Halpin to Saint Peter Preparatory High School,  144 Grand Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302 ,http://spprep.org/SupportPrep, would be greatly appreciated. For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
