Veronica J. Grutkowski

        Veronica J. Grutkowski, "Ronnie," 85, of Hazlet, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at her home in Hazlet.  She was born Veronica J. Costa on May 13, 1931 in Hoboken, New Jersey, and was raised in Jersey City, New Jersey.  In 1987, Veronica settled in Hazlet, New Jersey. Before retiring, she worked as a school security officer at P.S. 32, now known as Dr. Ronald E. McNair Academic High School in Jersey City, New Jersey.  

        She was predeceased by her parents, George and Victoria Costa, her sister, Elizabeth Skok, and her beloved husband, John Grutkowski.  Ronnie is survived by her loving children, John Grutkowski of Hazlet, New Jersey, Veronica Webster and her husband, James, of Hazlet, New Jersey, Janet Grutkowski of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Bobby Grutkowski of Hazlet, New Jersey, her cherished grandchildren, Jonathan Webster and his wife, Jessica, Matthew Webster and his wife, Laura, Stephen Webster, and James Webster, and her adored great grandchildren, Cayleen Veronica Webster and Madeleine Ann Webster. Ronnie was also a cherished aunt and a friend to many.  She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

        Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and Saturday morning, November 26, 2016 from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday morning, November 26, 2016 at 10:00 AM, at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, New Jersey 07031.
