Rebecca (Shimshi) Hausman

       Rebecca Hausman, 93, of Middletown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey.  She was born Rebecca Shimshi on February 27, 1923 in Manhattan, New York.  She grew up in both Manhattan, New York and Brooklyn, New York, and after marriage, she also raised her family in Brooklyn.  In 2006, she relocated to Middletown, New Jersey, with her son, Robert.  She was predeceased by her parents, David Ben and Rachel (Saltel) Shimshi, and her beloved husband, Julius Hausman.  Rebecca is survived by her loving children, Robert Hausman and his wife, Judy, of Middletown, New Jersey, Michael Hausman and his wife, Marlene, of Florida, and Helene Zassman and her husband, Larry, of Oceanside, New York, along with her dear brothers, Paul Shimshi and his wife, Selma, and Solly Shimshi and his wife, Sonya, and her cherished grandchildren, Billy Hausman, Lacie Zassman-Porta, Kirk Hausman, Zachary Zassman, Alex Zassman, and Dana Hausman.  She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
