Patricia K. (Zappola) Polera

        Patricia K. Polera, 61, of Matawan, New Jersey passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at her home.  She was born Patricia K. Zappola on December 18, 1954 in Flushing Queens, New York.  She was raised in Valley Stream, Long Island, New York, and in 1978, she moved to Bayonne, New Jersey.  In 1984, Patricia relocated to Hazlet, New Jersey, and in 1998, settled in Matawan.  She was currently working for United Airlines in Newark, New Jersey as a customer service Supervisor/Manager.

        She was predeceased by her parents, John F. and Edythe (Petry) Zappola.  Patricia is survived by her 3 sons, Jonathan R. Polera and his wife, Jessica, of Middletown, New Jersey, Frank J. Polera of Matawan, New Jersey, and Mark A. Polera of Matawan, New Jersey. She is also survived by her brother, John Zappola and his wife, Judith, of East Northport, New York, her former husband, Frank Polera, her niece, Taylor Zappola, and her dear cousins, Dolores Murphy, Jacklyn Murphy, and Patrick Murphy. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

        Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and Friday morning, December 2, 2016 from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday morning, December 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family R.C. Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07734. Entombment will follow at approximately 11:15 AM, at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.
