Nermine I. Barrow

     Nermine I. Barrow, 78, of Laurence Harbor, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey.  She was born Nermine Hope on April 28, 1938 in Guyana, South America, where she was raised.  Later in life, Nermine moved to the United Kingdom and pursued her Nursing Degree in London.  In 1969, she settled in the United States and was currently living with her daughter, Gillian, in Laurence Harbor, New Jersey.  She was predeceased by her parents, Margaret (Sears) and Joseph Hilton Hope, and 15 dear siblings.  Nermine is survived by her loving daughter, Gililan Barrow and her husband, Wayne Chambers, her previous husband, Compton Barrow, her cherished grandchildren, Wayne Chambers II, Angelique Chambers, and Justin Chambers, and her adored niece, Joyce Kingston, along with many other special nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.  She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

     Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  In respect of Nermine's wishes, she was privately cremated.  A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, 109 Laurence Parkway, Laurence Harbor, New Jersey 08879.  Immediately following the Memorial Mass, friends and family are invited to a repast reception celebrating Nermine's life at Yesterday's Restaurant, 3153 State Highway/Route 35, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730, telephone number 732-264-3777.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
