Michael Thomas Fitzgerald

     Michael Thomas Fitzgerald, 32, of Long Branch, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, January 18th, 2017.   Michael was born on July 27, 1984 in Belleville, New Jersey and grew up in Middletown, New Jersey, surrounded by his loving family.  Michael is survived by his beloved mother, Joan (Webster) Fitzgerald of Spring Lake Heights, New Jersey, his loving father, George Fitzgerald and his wife, Carol, of N. Middletown, New Jersey, his adoring fiancé, Brittani N. Brown of Long Branch, New Jersey, his cherished son, Liam Michael Fitzgerald, and his dear brother and sister, Kevin Fitzgerald of Middletown, New Jersey, and Kathleen Fitzgerald (Piglet) and her fiancé, Colin, of Middletown, New Jersey.  He is also survived by his very special nieces and nephew who fondly knew him as, “Uncle Mike” or “Uncle Mikey”, Kendall Fitzgerald, Ava Riggi-Fitzgerald, and Kenneth Brown, his aunts and uncle, Diane Webster, Maureen and Richie Webster, and his Godparents, Joan and Ken Moore, along with many more special extended family members and friends.  Michael was a vibrant, loving, smart, and extremely funny young man who touched the lives of all he met.  He was always able to bring a smile to your face and give you a good laugh with his quick wit and clever personality.  Although he lost his battle to addiction, Michael was more than his addiction; so let’s celebrate his legacy of love and his larger than life personality that shined bright for all who knew him.

     Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, January 22nd, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday morning, January 23rd, 2017 at 9:30 AM at The Church of St. Catherine Laboure, 110 Bray Avenue, N.
