Maureen (O'Neill) Bucko
March 15, 1939 ~ October 8, 2017 (age 78) 78 Years OldMaureen Bucko, 78, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey. She was born Maureen O'Neill on March 15, 1939 in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she grew up. She also lived in New York City with her family for a few years as part of her childhood. On April 17, 1958, Maureen and her husband, Raymond, were married and began their lives together. Shortly after in 1964, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey to raise their family. Before retirement, Maureen worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Bayshore Community Hospital and Arnold Walter Nursing Home. She was also a proud associate member of the Sisters of Mercy for 25 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Hugh and Mary (King) O'Neill, and her son, Raymond F. Bucko Jr. Maureen is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 59 years, Raymond F. Bucko, her loving sons, Daniel K. Bucko and his wife, Cheryl, of Belford, New Jersey, Michael Bucko and his wife, Wendy, of Keyport, New Jersey, and Timothy Bucko and his wife, Raell, of Bayville, New Jersey, and her adoring daughter-in-law, Kris Bucko of Merchantville, New Jersey. She is also survived by her dear siblings, Hugh O'Neill and his wife, Joann, and Kathleen Pruchnik and her husband, Robert, along with 9 cherished grandchildren, 10 treasured great grandchildren, and one more great grandchild on the way. Maureen will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. In respect of Maureen's wishes, she will be privately cremated. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Church of St. Catherine of Laboure, 110 Bray Avenue, North Middletown, New Jersey 07748.
