Kenneth E. Courtney Jr., 35, of Aberdeen, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, April 20, 2017. Kenneth was born on August 30, 1981 in Staten Island, New York, and as a child moved to Aberdeen, New Jersey with his family where he was raised. While living in Aberdeen, Kenneth attended St. Benedict Catholic School and graduated from St. John Vianney High School in Holmdel, New Jersey. After High School, Kenneth attended University of Delaware and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Economics. On November 17, 2006, he and his wife, Megan, were married in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and began their life together in Matawan, New Jersey.
Kenneth is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 10 years, Megan (Zeccardi) Courtney, his loving parents, Lauren (Mannino) and Kenneth E. Courtney Sr., his cherished children, Cameron Jane Courtney, Benjamin Edward Courtney, and Nathan Thomas Courtney, and his dear sister, Alyssa Courtney and her fiance, Christopher Swensen. He is also survived by his grandfather, Thomas Mannino and his wife, Rose, his mother-in-law, Sharon Zeccardi, his brother-in-law, Michael Zeccardi and his wife, Denise, and his niece, Gianna Zeccardi. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday morning, April 22, 2017 from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday morning, April 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 360 Broadway, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
