Catherine (Donaruma) Perciaccante
November 30, 1947 ~ April 13, 2016 (age 68) 68 Years OldCatherine Perciaccante, 68, of Union Beach, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday evening, April 13, 2016 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey. She was born Catherine Donaruma on November 30, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in Hazlet, New Jersey. After marriage, she moved to New York for a few years, and returned to Monmouth County.
Catherine was an avid gardener, very artistic, and loved all things oriental. Catherine's family raved about her delicious lasagna and eggplant, which were two of her best dishes. She always enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was a one-of-a-kind woman, who marched to the beat of her own drum and was always up for a party and having a good time. Above all else, Catherine was extremely dedicated to her family, most of all her children, whom she loved with all of her heart. She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Josephine (Carucci) Donaruma. She is survived by her loving children, Dawn Perciaccante, Tania Perciaccante, and Mike Perciaccante, all of Union Beach, New Jersey, her cherished siblings, Mary Joan Werbalis and her husband, Henry, of Cape Coral, Florida, Ben Donaruma and his wife, Gail, of Millsboro, Delaware, and Angela Hardie and her husband, Don, of Holmdel, New Jersey. She is also survived by her dear nieces and nephews, Robert Werbalis, Jennifer Pezantes, Joann Werbalis, Tracey Kiernan, Michael Donaruma, and Brian Hardie, and her adored grand-doggies, Miya and Kodo, along with many special extended family members and friends. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours. In respect of Catherine's wishes, she will be privately cremated.
