Megan, Mr. and Mrs. Courtney,
Words cannot even begin to express the sorrow I feel for you and your families. I will never forget the shy young man who worked with me at the YMCA after school program. He was one of the nicest young men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I know his kind heart touched many. It made an impact on the children we worked with, so many years ago, and it definitely made an impact on me. Mr. Kenny you will be missed by this world.
Prayers of strength and healing, Debra (Ms. Debbie) Lorenz

Dear Lauren, Ken, Alyssa & Megan, the struggle that Kenny endured was definitely made easier with your tremendous support. We witnessed a family handle a difficult period of time with dignity and extreme compassion. His last days were at home in a peaceful and loving environment. His children will be his legacy and his family and friends will provide his wife Megan with assistance in meeting their needs. Rest in peace Kenny.

I never met Ken but I'm friends with Sharon Zeccardi. She shared his struggles and the love she had for him, her daughter Megan, and her grandchildren. I prayed everyday for all of them to find peace. I hope the family has many happy memories of him.

The Courtney Family,
Kurt wrote this when his younger brother passed at the young age of 36, and we thought it might be appropriate:
I’d hold the setting sun in time,
When all the colors reach their prime,
Before the stars and moon appear,
To glow right through the atmosphere.
The big blue sky turns into rust,
With orange filtered through the dust,
The crimson glow gets ever bright,
And then recedes to darkest night.
The sun goes down too fast, it seems,
As it changes color schemes,
And fades away when day is done,
It’s hard to watch a setting sun.
Sincerely,
Arlene and Kurt

To the entire Courtney family - words escape me. Kenny was and always will be a special person to everyone who knew him. He was a kind friend and I was very fortunate to know him. Your fellow Blue Hens will always have you and your family in our prayers.
