Steven James Chandler, 59, of Union Beach passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of his own home on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Steven was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on December 6, 1964. He attended grammar and high school with Sharon Botteri, who several years later became the love of his life. Together they moved to Union Beach in 1991. They were married on August 29, 1993, and they remained in Union Beach to raise their wonderful family. Steven was a devoted employee at Harold Henrich in Lakewood, New Jersey for over thirty years where he worked as a Sheet Metal Grinder/Polisher.
Steven will be lovingly remembered for so many amazing traits; being early to work, appointments or social functions was one of them. He was always working either at work or at home. He loved the challenge of building and putting things together, mowing the grass and helping others. He was an avid drummer and was often asked to “lower the volume” of his Rock ‘n’ Roll music. Steven was a proud coach of his sons “Little league Teams”. Most of all Steven loved spending time with his family and his dogs, Shotzie, Trudy and Sky. He will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten.
Steven is predeceased by his beloved parents David and Florence (Covello) Chandler. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Sharon (Botteri) Chandler, his cherished children, John Botteri and his wife Natasha, Ryan Chandler and Lauren, Eric Chandler and Jen, Steven Chandler, Shane Chandler and Amanda, Holly Chandler and Johnny and Sabrina Chandler, his adoring grandchildren, Nolan Ryan and Elaina Maryann, his caring sister, Laura Coviello and nephews, Michael and Nicholas Coviello and an aunt, Carmell Stefano. Steven was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew and friend.
