Robert John Stone

Robert John Stone, 61, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 4, 2019 at his residence. He was born on October 17, 1958 in Jersey City, New Jersey. Robert was a retired Sergeant for the Hudson County Correctional Center in Kearny, New Jersey. After retirement, Robert worked as a security guard for the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. He was also a member of the Keyport Knights of Columbus. Robert loved spending time in Atlantic City and was an avid Giants and Yankees fan. He loved to go to Bingo, enjoyed bowling, and was always looking forward to his next vacation to travel the world.  His pride and joy were spending time and making memories with his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, George and Theresa (Cunning) Stone, his brother, Daniel Stone and his sister, Jacqueline Stone. Robert is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Joyce J. (Kierman) Stone, his loving children, Robert John Stone, II, and Michael Nelson Stone and his wife, Christina, his cherished grandchildren, Juliana, Alexander, and Scarlett, and his dear siblings, George Stone, Eugene Stone, Theresa Ann Perez, Kathleen Czorniewy, and Kenneth Stone. Robert will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday afternoon, December 8, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered on Sunday afternoon, December 8, 2019 between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  In respect of Robert's wishes, he will be privately cremated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
