Richard Shevlin Obituary

Richard H. Shevlin, 69, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2024.  Richard was born in Mount Holly, New Jersey, but lived most of his adult life as a Keyport resident.  He was a graduate of Keyport High School, and was a coach for Pop Warner Football League for many years.  Richard was self-employed, owning Rich Lawns and Landscapes for 12 years, and retired from Keyport Borough Public Works in 2019.  Richard was a loving husband, father, and brother.  He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

He was predeceased by his parents, Beulah (Garlinger) and Richard W. Shevlin.  Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Sandra Currie-Shevlin of Keyport, his loving sons, Richard N. Shevlin, stationed in Hawaii, and Christopher Shevlin of Keyport, and his dear sister, Carol Ann Reamer of Hazlet, along with many cherished nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  In respect of Richard's wishes, he will be privately cremated.  A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mary the Virgin Episcopal Church at 10 East Front Street in Keyport, New Jersey 07735, with a tentative date of June 8, 2024.  Please check back for more information to follow regarding his memorial services.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com
