Patricia Rose Liegel, 81, of Port Monmouth, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 25, 2024. Patricia was born on June 9, 1942, in Newark, New Jersey, and spent the earlier part of her childhood in Vauxhall, New Jersey, before settling in Cliffwood Beach in 1956. For most of her life, Patricia lived in the Bayshore Area. Above all else, Patricia was a devoted and loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Rose (Juliano) Liegel, her son, Richard C. Hunter, and her siblings, Harry “Buster” Liegel and Kenneth T. Liegel. Patricia is survived by her loving children, Cynthia M. Deily and her husband, Ronald Jr., of Union Beach, Michael A. Turner and Grace of Seabright, James M. Turner and Natalie of Manilus, New York, and Jason R. Novak of Birmingham, Alabama, her dear brother, Frank Liegel, and her cherished grandchildren, Laura Lynn Scott, Ronald Deily III, Michael Turner Jr., Matthew B. Deily Sr., Dillon Turner, Christopher R. Deily, Austin Turner, Reilee Turner, and Emily Rose Turner, along with her adored great-grandchildren, Matthew Jr, Juliana, Nicholas, Ciara, Everly, Shay, Ryan, and Gunnar. With also many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home at 7:30 PM on Friday evening, March 1, 2024.
