Margaret Hupalo (née Corcoran) of Morganville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2021 at the age of 88. She was born in Carlow, Ireland on June 27, 1933. Margaret met her husband, Roman, in Bedford, England, and after their marriage, emigrated to the United States.
Margaret devoted her life to her family; she was a sincerely generous and thoughtful person. She loved to travel; her most cherished place to visit was Ireland. She adored the hills of Killeshin that overlooked Graiguecullen, where she was born. Margaret enjoyed walking along Ireland’s small winding roads, reminiscing about her childhood with neighbors and friends. She was an extraordinary person; although Margaret faced considerable obstacles throughout her life, she was always resilient. Her life’s passion was to spend time with family. She loved to cook and have family get-togethers.
Margaret is predeceased by her parents, Edward and Isobel Corcoran, her beloved husband, Roman Hupalo, her brothers Edward Corcoran, Charlie Corcoran, and Michael Corcoran and her sisters, Eileen Bruder, Marie O’Brien, Lila Cresswell, and Celine Bonas. She is survived by her nieces Tara Corcoran-Clark, Celine Corcoran, her nephew Brian Corcoran, as well as her loving “grandchildren”, Meghan, Taia, Delaney, Brianna, Shealin, Michael, Steve, her stepson Ronald Krueger, numerous nieces and nephews and her considerable extended family in Ireland, England, and Brooklyn.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Friday morning, August 6, 2021 from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday morning, August 6, 2021 at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, 172 Freneau Ave, Matawan, New Jersey, 07747 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Andrew’s Cemetery in South Bound Brook, New Jersey. Flowers and cards may be sent to the funeral home.
