Kevin Zachary Tracy of Holmdel died on Wednesday, January 19th, 2022. He was born May 5, 1991, on Staten Island, NY to Jack Tracy and Deborah Zachary Tracy, both now of Holmdel. Kevin was raised in Holmdel, graduated from Holmdel High School in 2009 and the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana, in 2013 with a BBA degree in IT Management.
Kevin worked for several companies after Notre Dame throughout the country. Since 2018, he was a QA Data Analyst for Epiq Class Action Resolution, Beaverton, OR. His company performed data and IT support to law firms involved in Class action and bankruptcy litigation. He recently moved back home to New Jersey.
Kevin enjoyed surfing, skiing, and of, course Notre Dame football, but most of all, he loved music. He played guitar, keyboards and drums, and was the drummer for the Portland, Oregon rock band, Kill the Headlights, which recently released a new album, The Shack, featuring Kevin on drums on several tracks. His bandmate, Nathun Finkhouse posted, “[h]e is one of the greatest drummers I’ve had the pleasure to play with and he was a really easy going and sweet guy.”
Kevin was a sweet, sensitive, and talented man. He is survived by his adoring mother, Deborah Zachary Tracy, his beloved father, Jack Tracy, his dear stepmother, Moira Tracy, his loving sisters, Katie Newton and her husband, Dana, of Newtown, PA, Jocelyn Tracy and her fiancé , Christopher Flanegan of Pine Beach, NJ, Allison Tracy-Forman and her husband, Jared, of New York City, NY, and his cherished stepsister, Christine Bennett and her husband, Eddie, of Middletown, NJ. Kevin is also survived by his niece, Taylor Newton, his twin nephews, Ryland and Connor Newton, of Newtown, PA, and many special aunts, uncles, extended family and friends. Kevin will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday morning, January 27th, 2022 at 9:15 AM at St. Catherine’s Church, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733. In respect of his family's wishes, Kevin will be privately cremated.
