James F. Curry

James F. Curry, 71, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel.  James was born on August 18, 1949 in Elmhurst, New York and grew up in Middle Village, New York.  In 1981, he met his beloved Kathy; they married on March 22, 1986 and settled in Ozone Park, NY to begin their lives together. In 1997, they moved to Hazlet, NJ and continued raising their son Jimmy there.  Prior to his retirement, Jim worked for over 34 years in the NYC offices of the Federal Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

He was predeceased by his parents, F. James Curry & E. Lorraine (Fennell) Curry and his brother-in-law, Ronald Zollo.  James is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 34 years, Kathleen (O’Sullivan) Curry, his loving son, James P. Curry of Hazlet, his dear sister, Rosemary Kalyviotis and her husband, Peter, his cherished brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James O’Sullivan and his wife, Barbara, Maureen Zollo, Eileen Pacifico and her husband, Mario, and Brian O’Sullivan and his wife, Elizabeth, along with many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.  James will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
