Giovanni Livoti, 84, of Manalapan, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold, New Jersey. Giovanni was born on March 4, 1940, in Pachino, Italy, where he grew up and met his beloved wife, Mattia. Giovanni and Mattia were married on August 13, 1960, and began their life together in Brooklyn, New York, where they remained to raise their family. While living in Brooklyn, Giovanni owned and operated John’s Barber Shop on Fort Hamilton Parkway and 45th Street for 54 years before his retirement. In 2021, Giovanni and Mattia settled in Manalapan, New Jersey. Above all else, Giovanni was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
He was predeceased by his parents, Gaetano and Concetta (Giuliano) Livoti. Giovanni is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 64 years, Mattia (Scrofano) Livoti, his loving sons, Robert G. Livoti of Brick, Frank A. Livoti and his wife, Ronniejane, of Manalapan, and John Livoti and his wife, Cheryl, of Lincroft, his dear sisters, Enza Sarta, Lina Felli, and Josephine DiGioia, his cherished grandchildren, Amanda Ali, Jacqueline Livoti, Frank M. Livoti, Alexa Livoti, John Livoti Jr., Matteo Livoti, and Robert M. Livoti, and his treasured great grandchildren, Gianna, Madison, Carter, Logan, and Harper, along with many treasured extended family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, February 26, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday morning, February 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733. Entombment will follow at Marlboro Memorial Park Cemetery, 361 Highway/Route 79, Morganville, New Jersey 07751.
