Francesco "Frank" Pino Obituary

Francesco A. Pino, fondly known as “Frank”, 97, of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, May 5, 2023.  Frank was born on July 9, 1925, in Offagna, Italy and grew up in the town of Spezzano Albanese.  While living in Italy, Frank met his beloved wife, Rose.  They were married on August 21, 1954, and started their life together.  In May of 1955, they immigrated to the United States, settling in Staten Island, New York, where they remained to raise their family.  In 1991, they retired to Holmdel, New Jersey.  Before his retirement, Frank worked for the U.S. Postal Services on 34th Street in Manhattan, New York as Supervisor of International Air Mail for many years.  Prior to working at the post office, Frank also owned a pizzeria.

Frank loved spending time outdoors, especially while working in his garden.  He also enjoyed collecting stamps and making homemade pizza for his family whenever possible.  Frank was a “jack of all trades” and amongst his family, he was known as “Mr. Fix It”.  He was always helping his family with all types of home repairs and construction endeavors; whether it was something simple or a larger project like replacing windows or renovating bathrooms, you could always count on Frank to be there making it happen for those he loved.  Above all else, Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many.  He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

He was predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Maria Vincenza (Luci) Pino, his brother, Giuseppe Pino, and his son-in-law, Guillermo Jimenez.  Frank is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 68 years, Rose (Frega) Pino, his loving daughters, Marie Jimenez of Holmdel, Vivian Rath and her husband, Edward, of Holmdel, and Melissa Pino of Holmdel, his brother-in-law, John Frega, and sisters-in-law, Dina Soldini and her husband John, Silvia Legere, and Maria Jordan.  Frank also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Daniel Jimenez and his wife, Ashlie, Deanna Jimenez, Eric Rath and his wife, Nicolette, Juliana Rosina Rath, and William Rath, and his adored great grandchildren, Everest Jimenez, McKinley Jimenez, Logan Jimenez, and Olympia Rath.
