Carmela "Camille" Tucker

Carmela Tucker, fondly known as “Camille,” 82, of Matawan, passed away peacefully on September 29th, 2022, at Anchor Care in Holmdel. Camille was born in Brooklyn, NY, and was raised in Valley Stream, before moving to Brooklyn in 1959, then Staten Island in 2002, and finally settling in Matawan in 2017. She worked as a housekeeper and cook for St. Jude Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn. She raised a lovely family with her husband James Ward Tucker. Camille lived a long and beautiful life, and will be greatly missed.

Camille is predeceased by her loving husband of many years James Ward Tucker, and her son James Ward Tucker Jr. She is survived by her daughter DawnMarie DiStefano, her daughter-in-law Diane Tucker, her Grandchildren Carmela DiStefano, Christina Cacciatore, Robert Tucker, and Antoinette Galford, her Great-Grandchildren Christopher, James, Anthony, Dominick, and Juliette, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc, 3269 Highway/ State Route 35 North, Hazlet, NJ, 07730. In respect to Carmela’s wishes, she will be privately cremated. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on October 5th, 2022, at 11:00AM at St. Benedict Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey, 07733.
