Barbara “Ducky” Worosila, 81, of Matawan passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Old Bridge Medical Center, Old Bridge, New Jersey. Barbara was born on April 2, 1944, in Jersey City, New Jersey. She grew up and remained in Bayonne, New Jersey, until moving to Matawan, New Jersey in 2012. Barbara retired after many dedicated years, from Deegen Oil and Chemical Company, Jersey City where she worked as an Office Manager.
“Ducky” faced her medical issues with extraordinary strength, courage, and grace. She will lovingly be remembered for being the “Rock” of the family! She helped to raise not only her own children but many others in her extended family. She will also be remembered for her love of children, especially her grandchildren. She was a devoted, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She was an avid Yankees fan, with her all-time favorite player being Anthony Rizzo. A few other pastimes of “Ducky’s” were watching monster movies and working with plants and flowers. Several years ago, she enjoyed her visit to Steubenville, Ohio, the hometown of Dean Martin. In 2022, she fulfilled her dream of visiting Hawaii with her family. “Ducky” will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten.
“Ducky” is predeceased by her beloved parents, Peter and Helen (Sabo) Petrick, her adored grandson, Michael Worosila, her brother, Michael Petrick, and her daughter in law, Krissy Worosila. She is survived by her loving children, William Worosila and his partner Robin of Matawan and Susan Fuchs of Bridgewater, her adored grandchildren, Eric Fuchs, Emily Fuchs and Joseph Worosila, her great grand pup, Molly, her caring brother, Peter Petrick of Hazlet, New Jersey, her sister in laws, Kathy Petrick of Old Bridge and Elizabeth Nesta of Milltown, New Jersey as well as many nieces, nephews. and extended family. She also leaves behind her dear friends Joseph and Kaaren Scaturo, the parents of her late daughter-in-law.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation on Sunday, June 29th, 2025, from ,1:30PM to 5:30PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
