Andrea D. (Dussich) Bracken

Andrea D. Bracken, 73, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 18, 2024.  She was born Andrea D. Dussich on October 24, 1950, in Bronx, New York, where she spent the earlier part of her childhood.  When she was ten years old, Andrea moved with her family to Hazlet, New Jersey.  After marriage in July 1972, Andrea and her husband, John, settled in Keyport, New Jersey in the mid 1970’s, where they remained to raise their family.  Before her retirement, Andrea worked as a teacher for Hazlet Township school system for many years in which she was teacher of the year multiple times.  Andrea was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, cousin, and friend to many.  She loved to sing, dance, and enjoy life to the fullest surrounded by her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Anne (Elefante) Dussich, and her beloved husband, John E. Bracken Sr.  Andrea is survived by her loving sons, John E. Bracken Jr. and his girlfriend, Dana Ressler, of Bound Brook, New Jersey, and Christopher J. Bracken and his wife, Renee, of Keyport, New Jersey, her dear brother, Eugene J. Dussich Jr., and her cherished grandchildren, Casey Jean Bracken, Ryder J. Bracken, and Evan J. Bracken.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Friday during visitation hours.  In respect of Andrea’s wishes, she will be privately cremated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
