Alvaro Mora, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, at Birchwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Cranford, New Jersey, at the age of 80. Born on June 25, 1945, in the beautiful country of Belize, Alvaro was a man whose warmth and jovial spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. He moved to the Old Bridge/South Amboy around the 1970’s, where he remained.
Predeceased by his parents, Jose Jacob and Lourdes (Lenor Perez) Mora, and his beloved partner, the mother of his son, Myrna Reneau. Alvaro's legacy of love and laughter lives on through his son, Duane Mora, and daughter-in-law, Cherie, of Merrick, New York. His memory will be forever cherished by his adored grandchildren, Tyler and Sadie Mora, who were the light of his life. Alvaro's siblings, Laura, Maggie, Jose, Salvator, Neida, Mauro, Mandy, Marie and Araceli Forman, will remember their brother with fondness and deep affection.
Alvaro dedicated many years of service as a loyal and diligent logistics planner for Vanguard Logistics in Linden, New Jersey. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity and dedication, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. His professional contributions were matched only by his commitment to his family and friends.
A man of many interests, Alvaro found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending quality time with his family, particularly his grandchildren, whose activities and accomplishments he documented with pride and care through his photography. His love for movies, especially comedies, was well-known, and his infectious laughter could light up a room.
As we bid farewell to Alvaro Mora, we celebrate a life lived with passion, humor, and an abundance of love. His spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him, and his memory will be held in our hearts forever. Alvaro's journey through life was a testament to the joy that can be found in everyday moments and the enduring power of family bonds. Though he has left this earthly realm, the stories and laughter he shared will resonate for generations to come.
