My deepest sympathy to the colon family.
Richy was like a brother the me. He was a great person and a friend. We met about 14 years ago at work for local 157. But we work on different projects together for different companies. We had great time working together listening to music joking having great time. We always share our lunch with each other. He would bring lunch one day and i the other. I love we we work at chenel and he made chilly for tacos that was the best. I'm going to miss you richy and i can't believe your gone. You will be miss and I'll pray for you and your son and family, We know your in a better place. Love you like a brother never forget Julio

Richie and I grew up knowing each other through our parents who worked together. Richie and I met around first grade and hung out together till we both started a family. We considered ourselves cousins if not brothers. Along with Oscar we were there for each other through thick and thin. I will always cherish our times together and will miss him dearly. My heart goes out to his son Richito who he loved and adored more than anything in his world. Our condolences go out to the Colon family his son his wife Nilsa and his brother Joe. He will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace My Brother 😢

My condolences to Richie's family and my dear cousin Joe. Richie will always be alive for me in memory. There's a poem by Deborah Gaitan that comes to mind and comforts me when I think of Richie and I hope will comfort you:
Don't cry for me,I will be okay.
Heaven is my home now,and this is where I'll stay.
Don't cry for me,I'm where I belong.
I want you to be happy and try to stay strong.
Don't cry for me, It was just my time.
But I will see you someday on the other side.
Don't cry for me, I am not alone.
The angels are with me to welcome me home.
Don't cry for me, for I have no fear.
All my pain is gone, and Jesus took my tears.
Don't cry for me, this is not the end.
I'll be waiting here for you, when we meet again.

So sad to hear such terrible news abt our childhood friend. I first met him in Red Hook Brooklyn. He was friends with my uncle Spoke, Chino and my brother Baby's face Nelson. He was a handsome man and a wonderful person. He had an amazing smile and I thank God that I had the pleasure of knowing him as he hung out in Red Hook often. Rest In Peace you man and may you continue to guide all this you left behind. Gone too soon and loved by many. Un adios final. With love , appreciation and admiration from the Mendez Family in Red Hook

Nilsa & Richie, In times like these I remember the quote from Dr. Seuss: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it's happened". Meaning, it's the good times we can remember, and keep in our heart. Much love, James
