John Farfalla

    John Farfalla, 71, of Matawan, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood, New Jersey.  John was born on December 10, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York, where he was raised.  On January 28, 1967, John and his wife, Roberta, were married and began their life together in Brooklyn, where they remained to raise their family.  Twelve years ago, they settled in Matawan, New Jersey.  While living in New York, John was the proprietor of his own trucking company, AJS Produce, located in Bronx, New York; he was currently retired.

    He was predeceased by his parents, Carmelo and Mary (Saitta) Farfalla and his brother, Frank Farfalla.  John is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 50 years, Roberta (Romano) Farfalla, his loving children, John Farfalla Jr. of Staten Island, New York, and Dina Farfalla-Chance of Matawan, New Jersey, his dear sister-in-law, Rosetta Farfalla, his brother-in-law, Anthony Romano, his adoring nieces, Mary Ann Stathopoulos and her husband, Aris, and Lisa Aldabeek and her husband, Sami, along with his cherished granddaughters, Lucia and Kayla Chance.  John will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. 

    Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM and Monday morning, August 14, 2017 from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday morning, August 14, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Clement Roman Catholic Church, 172 Freneau Avenue, Matawan, New Jersey 07747.  Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, New York 11735.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
