We are so saddened to hear of Doug's passing. He was always so cheerful and fun, and a dear friend. We will always cherish the times we spent with Doug and all the family; Pat, Greg, Colin, and Jen. Rest in Peace.

Although Doug & I worked for the Port Authority we never crossed paths. However we did volunteer as fellow Tribute Museum docents. Doug was a wonderful man that I'm so happy to have connected with over these last few years. May you rest in peace Doug.

My sincere and truly heartfelt condolences to Pat and all of Doug's family and friends. One of my favorites to tour with at the 9/11 Tribute Museum, and even more fun to socialize with at all of our events. Doug - you were very special. I'm thankful to have known you. God Speed

I met Doug at Tribute always with a smile and willing to help the new docents. I also knew his brother Ronnie (ret FDNY) . We spoke often about him and family. I will miss you Doug God speed.

Dear Pat and family:
Doug was a great guy to be with at the 9-11 Tribute events, in the docents lounge and out giving tours. We served on the Docent Council together and he always was a pleasure and fun to be with. He will be greatly missed by the Tribute community. Sending love and condolences,
Brenda (FDNY 9ret.) and Tribute docent)

Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still lived, still missed, and very dear

My sincere condolences to the family of Douglas Weir. May you find comfort in your loving memories, and in God's promise to soon "swallow up death forever" and "wipe away the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25;8) With deepest sympathy,

Such a great guy! My first ride in a convertible - Doug’s MG? (Might have the make wrong) - Kathy Clark and I - maybe 13 years old. Thought we were all that - and he was the coolest “adult” we ever met.
We were half right.
