Lynn R. Shelley

Lynn R. Shelley, 82, of Middletown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, New Jersey.  Lynn was born on April 29, 1941 in Orange, New Jersey, where he grew up.  After proudly serving our country in the United States Navy, he settled in Middletown, New Jersey, where he remained.  On May 4, 1986, Lynn married his beloved wife, Arlene, and enjoyed 38 wonderful years together.  Before his retirement, Lynn worked as a driver for Shamrock Coach Company in Keansburg for many years.  Most of all, Lynn was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many.

He was predeceased by his parents, Morris and Alida (Zucker) Evans.  Lynn is survived by his beloved wife, Arlene S. Shelley, his loving children, Brian Bates and his spouse, Louis Carotenuto, of New York, New York, Melissa Robison of Middletown, and Marc Bates-Shelley of Marlboro, his cherished grandchildren, Heather Cook, Oscar Robison, Joshua Robison, and Oliver Carotenuto, and his treasured great grandchildren, Elliot, Belle, and Matthew.  

Family and friends are invited to attend a committal service on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Brigadier General William C.
