Louise Davis

Annis Louise Davis, lovingly known as Louise, 92, of Keyport, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Bayside Manor, Keansburg.  She was born on May 30, 1931, in Crestview, Florida. While living in Florida she met, the love of her life, Gilmer Davis, and they were happily married three weeks later.  In 1951, they moved to Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey and remained there until moving to Richlands, Virginia in 1974. After Gilmer’s passing, Louise moved to Keyport, New Jersey in 1994, where she remained.

 While in Richlands, Virginia, Louise worked for the Richlands Board of Education, where she spent time working in the cafeteria. She liked doing puzzles and her “wonderful” cooking was enjoyed by her family and friends.  Louise was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.  She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Louise was predeceased by her parents, Horace, and Lena (Qualls) Harper, her loving husband, Gilmer Davis, and several deceased siblings.  She is survived by her loving children, Phyllis Monahan and her husband John of Browns Mills, New Jersey, Joanne Wotton and her husband Donald of Hazlet, New Jersey, Gail Rosado and her husband Alfonso of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Deborah McAndrews and her husband Thomas of Hazlet, New Jersey, caring grandchildren, Eric Monahan and his wife Heather, Monica DeMarco, Robert Wotton and his wife Stephanie, Jeffrey McAndrews and his wife Kerilyn, Michael Wotton and his wife Christina, Stacey Lippencott, Ryan McAndrews and his wife Cathy, Maureen McConnell and her husband Adam and Thomas Rosado. She is adoring great grandmother to 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 4:00PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey.  A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 10:15 AM.  Entombment will follow at Holmdel Mausoleum, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.
