Irene (Jordt) Colunga

Irene Colunga, 62, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 5, 2024.  She was born Irene Jordt, on September 20, 1961, in Hoboken, New Jersey and grew up in Hazlet.  Irene and her beloved husband, Eddie, were married on November 30, 2013.  They were presently residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Family was everything to Irene.  She loved her family with all her heart and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible.  Irene was a loving wife, daughter, stepmother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend to many.  She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Irene is survived by her beloved and devoted husband, Eddie Colunga, her adoring parents, Fred and Grete (Sunkimat) Jordt, her loving stepsons, Aaron Colunga and his wife, Jessica, and Nathen Colunga and his wife, Carly, her dear siblings, Frances DeWysockie and her husband, William, Heidi Bizzarro, and Fred Jordt, her cherished nieces and nephews, Karen DeWysockie, Louis Bizzarro, Sarah Bizzarro, and Christopher Bizzarro, and her treasured grandchildren, Chloe June, Carter, Owen and Taylor.

In respect of Irene’s wishes, she will be privately cremated.  Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
