Christina Povall Obituary

Christina Povall, 54, of Middletown, New Jersey, passed away at home on Friday, April 5, 2024.  She was born Christina Castellano on August 4, 1969, in Brooklyn, New York.  Christina started her childhood in Brooklyn, before she and her family moved to Staten Island, New York, where she was raised and met her beloved husband, Dennis.  On October 30, 1998, Christina and Dennis were married and started their life together in Staten Island.  Shortly after, they settled in Middletown, New Jersey, where they remained to raise their family.  Christina was currently the CFO for Domini Impact Investments in Manhattan, New York.

In her spare time, Christina enjoyed playing Sudoku and all different types of puzzle and brain teaser games.  Long Beach Island was her favorite place to spend time with her family and friends, and she loved visiting Hersey during the Christmas season.  Christina was a fabulous cook and was known for her infamous chocolate chip cookies.  Most of all, Christina had a heart of gold and always put everyone else’s needs first, above her own.  She touched the hearts of so many people over the years and her loss will be felt by everyone who knew and loved her.  Above all else, Christina was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, niece, and friend to many.  She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her mother, Margaret (Zaccaria) Castellano, her mother-in-law, Peggy Povall, and her brother-in-law, Marty Povall.  Christina is survived by her adoring father, William “Bill” Castellano, her beloved and devoted husband of 25 years, Dennis Povall, her loving children, Billy Povall and Victoria Povall, her dear siblings, Lisa Kofsky and her husband, Jonathan, and Janet Kouvaras and her husband, George, and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Annette Povall, Kathy and Paul Cavano, Jimmy Povall and his companion, Donna Quick, Mary Desatnick, Michael and Cindy Povall, and Sheila and Gino D’Alessandro.  Christina also leaves behind her treasured Godmother and aunt, Mickey Cetta, her lifelong friends, Jen and Matt Fopeano and their children, Matthew, Marion, and Madison, 23 cherished nieces and nephews, 8 treasured great nieces and nephews, and many more special aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.
