Ann Sophie Paduano

Anne Sophie Paduano, known to all as “Sophie” passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of family on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Matawan, New Jersey. Sophie was born in Brooklyn, New York, on March 29, 1924, to her beloved parents, Frank, and Consiglia (Restucci) Ferrara. She lived in various areas of New York City, where she met and married the love of her life, Joseph Paduano. In the 1980’ s they lived together in Pennsylvania for eighteen years. After Joseph’s passing, Sophie moved to East Islip, Long Island, where she remained.   Sophie enjoyed doing ceramics, cooking, and above all else, she loved spending time with her family.  She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.   She will be greatly missed, never forgotten, and always loved.

Sophie is predeceased by her parents, Frank, and Consiglia (Restucci)Ferrara, her loving husband, Joseph Paduano, her beloved sons, Joseph Paduano and Robert Paduano and her caring eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Ann Marie Liguori and her husband William of East Islip, New York and Margaret Miele of Matawan, her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Criscuolo, Michelle Libby, Kimberly Kaufman, Anthony Miele and Christopher Miele, and her adoring great grandchildren, Tiffany, Tyler, Laila, Ava, Carmella and Gianna.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 8:45 to 9:30 AM, at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM, on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 376 Maple Place, Keyport, New Jersey 07730.
