Vincent C. LaMattina

     Vincent C. LaMattina, 79, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Regency Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hazlet.  Vincent was born on September 16, 1937 in Manhattan, New York and grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where he met his beloved wife, Millicent "Penny" Carrino.  On August 20, 1960, Vincent and Penny were married and began their life and family together in Brooklyn.  In 1970, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey.  While living in New Jersey, Vincent worked for Firmenich Inc. in Plainsboro as a Purchasing Agent; he was currently retired.  He was predeceased by his parents, John and Angelina LaMattina, his devoted wife, Penny (Carrino) LaMattina, and his cherished grandson, Joseph Christopher LaMattina.  Vincent is survived by his loving sons, Vincent P. LaMattina and his wife, Joanne, of Deer Park, New York, Michael LaMattina and his wife, Leanne, of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Steven LaMattina and his wife, Debbie of Hazlet, New Jersey.  He is also survived by his dear brother, Anthony LaMattina and his wife, Hildi, of Long Island, New York, and his cherished grandchildren, Melissa, ToniAnn, Michael Jr., Katie, Alex, Kyle, and Shelby LaMattina.  Vincent will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

      Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 to and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 100 Chapel Hill Road, Middletown/Red Bank, New Jersey 07701.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
