Mary Maria (DePasquale) Barnickel

      Mary Maria Barnickel, 85, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey.  She was born Maria DePasquale on December 14, 1930 in Union City, New Jersey, where she was raised. In 1983, Mary and her husband, Charles, settled in Middletown, New Jersey and in 2004, she moved to Hazlet, New Jersey.  She was predeceased by her parents, Gaetano and Allesandra (Ragozzino) DePasquale, her beloved husband, Charles Barnickel, and her dear siblings, Carmela Caratozzolo, Tony DePasquale, Louise Vitone, Josephine Maggia, Michael DePasquale, and twin sister, Lucia DePasquale.  Mary is survived by her loving daughter, Joyce Miller-Grampp and her husband, Edward, of Secaucus, New Jersey, her cherished grandchildren, Cynthia Smayda, Tiffany Behnke, and Jessica Miller, along with her adored great grandson, Tyler Smayda, and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.  She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

      Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, and Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday morning, June 9, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Church of St. Catherine Laboure, 110 Bray Avenue, North Middletown, New Jersey 07748.  Entombment will follow at Fair View Cemetery, 456 State Route 35, Middletown/Red Bank, New Jersey 07701.  For information, directions or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
