Martin P. Frentz

October 2, 1954 ~ July 29, 2016 (age 61) 61 Years Old

Martin P. Frentz, better known as “Marty”, 61, of Middletown, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on July 29, 2016.  He was born on October 2, 1954 in Linden, New Jersey.  During his childhood, Marty attended St. Leo the Great Elementary and Middle School, and later attended Red Bank Catholic High School, where he began playing football and baseball his freshman year.  Marty attended Middletown High School North his senior year.  He was an amazing and talented athlete and was on a swim team every summer.  He loved fishing, boating, traveling and cooking (especially with his daughter, Elizabeth).  He has the distinction of being an Eagle Scout.  He was quick to lend a helping hand, had a smile on his face and always knew what to say to make his wife laugh.  His nicknames for his wife were, Buehla, if he was being sarcastic, or Shotzie, when he was being sweet.  He made the best Christmas cookies.  Marty had a brilliant career with Conrail, where he was the Locomotive Shop Manager which involved Homeland Security in Newark.  He retired after 38 years of honorable service.
He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Gertrude (Markowski) Frentz.  Marty is survived by his beloved wife, Lee Summers-Frentz, and his cherished eleven-year old daughter, Elizabeth Sophia Frentz.  Marty also leaves behind his former wife Karen Bush, and her two daughters, Summer and Amber, his beloved brother Peter Frentz and his wife, Leann, of Lincroft, their two children, Bradley and Brooke, his beloved brother, John Frentz and his wife ,Beth, of Middlesex, their daughter, Susan Elizabeth,  his beloved sister, Susan Frentz and her husband, Alan Robinson, of Texas, his cherished grandchildren, Wyatt, Aiden, Connor, and Maia, and his best friend, Irving Beaver and his family, who Marty loved dearly.  Marty graced our lives with hugs, kisses, smiles and beautiful memories.  His favorite thing was to hide the Christmas pickle on the Christmas tree.  This alone will make us smile until we meet him again in heaven.  We miss Marty already, but every time we are at the beach and hear the crash of the waves, or see a rainbow in the sky, we know it’s Marty sending us a smile and telling us everything is going to be okay, because that’s Marty talking to us.  Even now, he is letting us know he’s here with us, still loving us.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Thursday evening, August 11, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A service will be offered at the funeral home at approximately 8:00 PM. In respect of his family's wishes, Marty will be privately cremated, and his remains will be interred at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, New Jersey.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Marty's daughter, Elizabeth, for her future education would be greatly appreciated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
