Lucille M. Hancock, 78, of Matawan, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey. She was born Lucille M. Pross on June 29, 1939 in Osseny, New York and grew up in Fords, New Jersey. Lucille raised her family in Matawan, New Jersey, where she was currently residing with her husband, "Hank". In addition to tending to her loving family and home, before retirement, Lucille worked for Matawan Keyport Print and Press as a member of their administrative and office staff for many years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Mary (Martin) Pross and her siblings, Virginia Hayden, William "Bill" Pross, and Patrick Pross. Lucille is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 33 years, Barry "Hank" Hancock, her loving children, Doreen M. Barker and her husband, Kevin, of Orlando, Florida, and David J. Knoeller and his wife, Debbie, of Matawan, New Jersey, her dear brother, Vincent Pross and his wife, Mary, of Richmond, Virginia, and her sister-in-law, Eileen Pross. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Shannon Barker and her long-time boyfriend, Charlie, Kevin Barker, John Barker and his wife, Tory, Honey Barker-Poonoi and her husband, Tony, Brian, Brendan, and Preston Barker, Alex, Chris, and Ryan Knoeller, and Allison Barker, along with her 18 adored great grandchildren, her treasured niece and nephew, Paul and Maryann Candiloro, and many more nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Lucille will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday morning, December 30, 2017 from 8:30 to 11:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 360 Broadway, Keyport, New Jersey 07735. There will be a repass immediately following at The Knights of Columbus, Council 3402, NJ-35, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
