Joseph Anthony Walker

Joseph Anthony Walker, 73, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 21, 2017 at Riverview Medical Center, in Red Bank, New Jersey.  

Joseph was born on November 5,1944 in New York, New York and grew up in Hudson County, New Jersey.  On January 27, 1962, Joseph married his wife, Charlotte (Hauser) Walker.  They lived in both Jersey City and Union City before settling in Lyndhurst and later in Hazlet.   Before retiring, Joseph worked as a Truck Driver for Local 560 Teamsters Union.  When Joseph retired, he moved to Hollywood, Florida.  He moved back to Monmouth County, New Jersey when he became a grandfather in 2009. 

Joseph loved the New York Yankees, New York Giants and all New York sports teams.  He was also a fan of boxing and horse racing.  He loved his family and the highlight of his life was his grandson James.  He was also a beloved friend to many, some of which he considered family. 

Joseph was predeceased by his mother Angelina (Angerome) Quagliozzi and step-father Domenick Quagliozzi. Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte (Hauser) Walker, his devoted children, Joseph Walker Jr. of Keyport, New Jersey, Richard Walker of Lawrence Harbor, New Jersey and Sharon Muller and her husband Jim of Hazlet, New Jersey.  He is also survived by his cherished grandson, James Joseph Muller.  Joseph will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
