February 24, 1944 ~ September 11, 2016 (age 72) 72 Years OldJohn J. Reilly, also known as "Jack", 72, of Monmouth Junction, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at New York University Langone Medical Center in Manhattan, New York. John was born on February 24, 1944 in New Haven, Connecticut, and grew up in Queens, New York. In 1982, he relocated to both Manhattan, New York and Monmouth Junction, New Jersey, where he lived between both locations. Throughout his life, John worked as a New York City Police Officer for the New York City Police Department; he was currently retired. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Army. John was predeceased by his parents, John and Gertrude (Wessner) Reilly. He is survived by his beloved life-long companion, Roseanne Cumella, his loving children, Deborah M. Brown and her husband, Charles, of Grayslake, Illinois, and John Reilly and his wife, Jeanine, of Long Island, New York, his dear brother, Dennis Reilly and his wife, Fran, and his cherished grandchildren, Melissa Brown, Jayden, Gianna, and Julia Reilly. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM, and Wednesday morning, September 14, 2016 from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Route/Highway 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday morning, September 14, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 121 Bridge Avenue, Red Bank, New Jersey 07701. In respect of John's wishes, he will be privately cremated. Entombment of John's cremated remains will take place on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 12:30 PM in the Chapel, at Brigadier General William C.
