James Joseph Conway

     James Joseph Conway, 79, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, April 20, 2017.  James was born on July 20, 1937 in Bronx, New York, and grew up in Manhattan and Queens, New York.  On April 20, 1974, James and his wife, Eileen, were married and began their life together.  In 1987, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey to raise their daughter, Mary Ellen.  

     He was predeceased by his parents, James and Mabel (Huff) Conway, and his dear sisters, Kathleen Adlum and Margaret O'Rourke.  James is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 43 years, Eileen M. (Nagle) Conway, and his loving daughter, Maryellen Guardino and her husband, Joseph.  He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

     Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM and Monday morning, April 24, 2017 from 9:15 to 10:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday morning, April 24, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church,165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  In respect of James' wishes, he will be privately cremated.  In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of James to the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106, or www.alz.org/donate, would be greatly appreciated. For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
