Anthony, fondly known as “Tony” by his family and friends, was born on November 21, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up. In 1965, he was drafted by the United States Army to serve in the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge in 1967, Tony returned home to begin his career as an Operations and Technology Professional on Wall Street. He began working for Herzfeld & Stern in Manhattan where he met his wife of 47 years, Adrienne. Shortly after, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey to raise their family. In 1983, Tony began working for AIG Company, also located in Manhattan and in 1987, started his career at Sungard DML, where he remained until his retirement in 2005. Soon after retirement, Tony began his second career as Business and Finance Manager for St. Benedict Church and became very involved in the parish community.
Tony was a movie buff and a huge fan of the Star Trek movie franchise, earning him the title of “Trekkie”. He was also an avid New York Mets Fan. He loved to dance and enjoyed listening to good music, but most of all, Tony enjoyed spending time with his family at the shore, especially at the Ship Ahoy Beach Club they belonged to in Sea Bright, New Jersey.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth (Galambos) Malone. Anthony is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 47 years, Adrienne J.
