Adeline "Joyce" (Walling) Springsteen

Adeline Joyce Springsteen, fondly known as "Joyce", 84, of Jackson, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 9, 2017.  She was born Adeline Joyce Walling on June 12, 1933 in Hazlet, New Jersey, where she grew up, raised her family, and lived for the majority of her life.  Joyce was a graduate of Keyport High School and worked up until the age of 76, when she retired from Helfrich Bus Company in Hazlet, where she was a bus driver for many years.  In 2014, Joyce moved to Jackson, New Jersey to live with her daughter, Sharon.  Joyce was an animal lover throughout her life and had many beloved pets over the years.  She adored all of her pets, but had a special love for her late dog, Ralph.  Joyce was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother.  She was always happiest when she was surrounded by her family and they were her greatest joy throughout her life.

She was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Helen (Terry) Walling, her sisters, Gladys Mason and Marion Donnelly, her son-in-law, Marty Mika, and her daughter-in-law, Natalie Springsteen.  Joyce is survived by her loving children, Sharon Mika of Jackson, New Jersey, Deborah Springsteen of Middletown, New Jersey, and Henry Springsteen of Hollistin, Massachusetts, her dear sister, Helen Brown of Hazlet, New Jersey, and her cherished grandchildren, Adam Bopf and his wife, Angela, Steven Mika and his wife, Ariana, Eric Mika, and Katelyn Springsteen, along with her treasured great grandson, Alexander Bopf.  Joyce will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home at approximately 1:30 pm.  In respect of Joyce's wishes, she will be privately cremated, and her cremains will be interred at Green Grove Cemetery in Keyport, New Jersey.  In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Joyce to The Dementia Society of America, www.dementiasociety.org, would be greatly appreciated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
