Yvonne M. D'Auria, 70, of Manalapan, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. She was born Yvonne Della Monica on February 2, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up and met her beloved husband, Alphonse. On March 31, 1979, Yvonne and Alphonse were married and began their life and family together in Brooklyn. In 1999, they settled in Staten Island, where they raised their family and in 2021, settled in Manalapan. Before her retirement, Yvonne worked for the New York City Board of Education for many years. Most of all, she was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother. Yvonne will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her father, Albert Della Monica. Yvonne is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 43 years, Alphonse "Al" D'Auria, her loving sons, Alphonse D'Auria Jr. and his wife, Cherilyn, of Aberdeen, James D'Auria and his wife, Victoria, of Matawan, and Steven D'Auria and his wife, Jessica, of Howell, her adoring mother, Marie (Pontone) DellaMonica, and her dear siblings, Debbie Jones and her husband, Jeffrey, Lorraine DeFazio and her husband, John, and David Della Monica, along with her cherished grandchildren, Alexa, Lily, Leila, Julianna, Stevie, Gabriella, and Salvatore, and many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday morning, January 28, 2023 from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday morning, January 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Avenue, Staten Island, New York 10309.
