William "Bill" Beveridge

William Beveridge, fondly known as “Bill”, 86, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, May 9, 2022, at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel.  Bill was born on December 3, 1935, in Jersey City, New Jersey and grew up in Kearny, New Jersey.  On October 6, 1956, Bill and his beloved wife, Betty, were married and began their life together.  In 1960, they settled in Hazlet where they remained to raise their family and in 2016, relocated to Keyport, New Jersey.  Before his retirement, Bill worked as a business manager for Pfingst and Company, a dental supply company located in South Plainfield.  Most of all, Bill was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

He was predeceased by his parents, James and Elizabeth (Currie) Beveridge, his loving daughter, Sharon Beveridge, and his brother, James Beveridge and his wife, Betty.  Bill is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 65 years, Betty L. Beveridge, his loving children, Wendy Riley and her husband, Jonathan, of Aberdeen, and William Beveridge Jr. and his wife, Dawn, of Forest Hill, Maryland, and his dear sister, Elizabeth “Beth” Fitzsimmons and her husband, James.  Bill also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Jessica Trischitta and her husband, Christopher, Laura Tuohy and her husband, Kyle, Jonathan Riley Jr. and his fiancé, Lauren Grauer, Rebecca Riley, Megan Beveridge, Sarah Riley, and William Ryan Beveridge, along with his great grandson, James William Tuohy. 

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday morning, May 12, 2022, from 10:30 to 11:15 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered for Bill on Thursday morning at 10:45 AM at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hazlet, New Jersey.  For information or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
