William H. Cochran, 69, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 13, 2025. William was born on June 25, 1956, in Cranford, New Jersey, and grew up in Edison with his loving parents and five siblings. On September 25, 1982, William and his beloved wife, Donna, were married and started their life together in Perth Amboy. A few years later in 1985, they settled in Hazlet, where they remained to raise their family and have happily lived for the last 40 years. Throughout his life, William always loved cars. His passion for cars poured into his career, where he worked as an auto mechanic and was part-owner of Kenny and Billy’s Service Center in Iselin, New Jersey for many years. William was never idle. He was always tinkering with one thing or another whether at home or at work; you could never find him sitting still. William had a brilliant mind, but most of all, he was an amazing father and husband. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Madeline (Regan) Cochran. William is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 42 years, Donna (Baptista) Cochran of Hazlet, his loving daughter, Elizabeth Cochran of Holmdel, and his dear siblings, Karen Schmicker and her husband, Ed, Nancy Springer and her husband, Mikey, Jimmy Cochran and his wife, Lisa, Judy Capra and her husband, Chuck, and Kevin Cochran and his wife, Kelly, along with his cherished nieces and nephews, Kristen, Matthew, Robert, Sarina, Kaity, and Patrick.
