Wanda V McClure

Wanda V. McClure, a loving woman whose life was marked by devotion to her family and the simple joys that brought her happiness, passed away on June 15, 2026, in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. She was born on June 22, 1934, in Paterson, New Jersey, and lived a life that reflected kindness, steadiness, and deep affection for those she held dear.

Wanda was the daughter of the late Rocco and Viola (Sylea) Martone. She grew up in East Newark after being born in Paterson, and those early years helped shape the strong and caring spirit that would remain with her throughout her life. She later moved to Perth Amboy, where she began building a home and a future with her husband, William Robert McClure, following their marriage. Together, they created a life centered on family, love, and commitment.

Wanda and William raised their daughter in Cliffwood Beach, where she devoted herself to her role as a homemaker. She took great pride in caring for her family and making a warm and welcoming home. Her life was guided by love, patience, and a quiet strength that touched everyone around her. In 2009, she moved to Atlantic Highlands, where she spent her later years.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert McClure; her son-in-law, Rafael Rivera; and her brother, Robert Davis. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Rivera, who will carry forward the memory of her mother’s love and devotion. Wanda’s family was the center of her world, and she will be remembered for the care she gave so freely and the lasting example she set through her life.

In addition to her dedication to home and family, Wanda enjoyed drawing, a pastime that reflected her creative spirit and appreciation for beauty. She was also a big fan of Elvis Presley, and his music brought her joy over the years. These interests were part of the personality that made her so memorable to those who knew her well. She found happiness in the things she loved and in the people who shared her life.

Wanda will be remembered as a loving woman whose presence brought comfort and warmth to her family. Her life was one of devotion, resilience, and quiet grace. Though she is no longer with her loved ones, the memories she created and the love she gave will remain a lasting part of their lives.
