Walter R. Elfstrom, Jr.

Walter R. Elfstrom, Jr., 62, of Trenton, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 10, 2020. He was born on December 10, 1957 in Brooklyn, New York.  Later in life he resided in Hazlet, New Jersey before moving to Trenton in 2016 where he remained.  He was a dedicated member/employee of the Salvation Army who was committed to helping others.

He was predeceased by his parents, Claire (Sarquiz) and Walter R. Elfstrom, Sr. Walter is survived by his dear and devoted son, Zachary M. Elfstrom of Montreal Canada, his caring siblings, Robert Elfstrom and his wife, Louanne, of St. Petersburg, Florida, Constance Siegrist and her husband Marc of Hazlet, New Jersey, Steven Elfstrom and his wife, Patricia, of Hazlet, New Jersey, and William Elfstrom and his wife, MaryAnne, of Hazlet, New Jersey, his cherished nieces and nephews, Jennifer Madsen White, Marc Siegrist, Catherine Elfstrom, Teresa Elfstrom, Daniel Siegrist, Mia Elfstrom and Steven Elfstrom, and his treasured great-niece, Ellianna Siegrist. Walter will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, September 14, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home at 8:00 PM. In respect of Walter’s wishes, he will be privately cremated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.

As per the regulations imposed through the State of New Jersey, there will now be a maximum of 100 persons allowed in the funeral home at one time.  In order to accommodate all of Walter's family and friends, we ask that you please be brief while visiting in order to make room for additional guests to pay their respects; we thank you for your understanding during this time. Face protection is also required as per state regulations.
