Vivian (Priftakis) Homatopoulos

Vivian Homatopoulos, 75, of Freehold, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Centra State Hospital in Freehold.  She was born Vivian Priftakis on August 10, 1945 in Lambokambos, Lakonia, Greece, where she was raised.  In 1965, Vivian immigrated to the United States, starting her life in Brooklyn, New York.  She settled in Old Bridge, New Jersey to raise her family and was presently residing in Freehold.  Before her retirement, Vivian worked in the banking industry for many years.  She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was predeceased by her parents, Haralambos and Panagiota (Doukas) Priftakis, and her former husband, Peter Homatopoulos.  Vivian is survived by her loving daughter, Madelyn Rexinis and her husband, Demetri, of Holmdel, New Jersey, her dear brothers, Teddy and Peter Priftakis, and her cherished grandson, Ioanni Rexinis.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, 20 Hillcrest Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at Kimisis Tis Theotokou Church following the visitation at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.
