Vittoria (Cioffi) Leggiero

Vittoria Leggiero, 96, of Hazlet, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Friday, April 18th, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family at Bayside Manor, Keansburg, New Jersey.  Vittoria was born, Vittoria Cioffi, on February 23, 1929, in Maddaloni Caserta, Italy.  She met and married the love of her life, Domenico Leggiero on October 16, 1949. They remained in Italy until moving with their family to Hazlet, New Jersey in 1974.  She retired after many years from Holiday Inn, Hazlet, New Jersey.  Some of Vittoria’s favorite hobbies were gardening, sewing and cooking. She will be remembered for being a “Jack of all trades”. She loved spending time with family and “loved life” to its fullest. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Alessandra (Pascarella) Cioffi, her loving husband, Domenico Leggiero, her grandson Domenick Spalliero and her siblings, Francesco Cioffi and Cira Cioffi.  She is survived by her loving children, Maria Spalliero and her husband Vincenzo of Oceanport, New Jersey, Antonio Leggiero and his wife Carolina of Wall, New Jersey, Alessandra DiNuzzo and her husband Giuseppe of Warren, New Jersey, Giovanna Cichorz and her husband John of Hazlet, New Jersey and Angelina DeBari and her husband Carmen of Hazlet, New Jersey, her caring siblings, Maria Loffredo, Vincenzo Cioffi and Saveria Della Ventura, her cherished grandchildren, Joseph Spalliero, Vittoria Abromaitis, Domenico Leggiero, Anthony Leggiero, Mena DiNuzzo, Vittoria DiNuzzo-Cornett, Anthony DiNuzzo, Gina Meyer, Tiffani Pantaleo, Britney Cichorz, Carmen DeBari, Nicole Voutsinas and Dominique DeBari.  Vittoria is a proud great grandmother to eighteen and “One on the Way”, as well as a great great grandmother of two.  

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, April 24th, 2025, from 8:45AM to 9:30 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey  07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 24th, 2025, at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Route 36, Union Beach, New Jersey  07735.
